Usable by everyone

The device starts after opening the cover. The numbers 1 – 2 show at a glance which actions have to be performed. This makes it clear to untrained rescuers where to start. The QUIK-STEP electrodes become visible after the foil is removed. Pictures on the electrodes indicate where they should be applied on the victim. After application, you can immediately start giving chest compressions.

Support during CPR

Meanwhile, the rescuer is supported by audible instructions and a metronome. A metronome indicates the correct rate of chest compressions. Clearvoice technology ensures that the volume of the instructions is automatically adjusted when there is a lot of noise in the area.

Is the victim a child? Then you can switch to the pediatric mode by pressing the special children’s button. In this pediatric mode, the defibrillator delivers a lower shock delivery. The amount of joules is adapted to the smaller body.

The CR2 uses the innovative “cprINSIGHT analysis technology”. This technology makes it possible that when the AED analyzes the heart rhythm, chest compressions can continue to be delivered. Pausing is therefore no longer necessary. As a result, the blood circulation is constantly stimulated and that increases the victim’s chances of survival.

According to ERC guidelines, survival can be improved by up to 70% when CPR is administered with minimal pauses.

Extra Features

The status of the Physio Control Lifepak CR2 is continuously monitored by a central AED Program Manager. Battery empty? Or is the AED not in its familiar place? Then, if your CR2 is connected to a mobile (3G) or WI-FI network, you will receive a notification.
